Kennedy Nwaruh was appointed the Executive Director, Operations of NIRSAL Plc on December 5, 2016. Before joining NIRSAL Plc, Kennedy was a Senior Management staff of the Standard Bank Group of South Africa. He was a pioneer Executive Team Member of The Standard Bank Group Shared Services and contributed immensely to the creation and stabilization of the Business Unit.
Kennedy is a world-class leader in agribusiness with extensive private sector experience in designing, marketing, and selling financial products and services to corporate and smallholder businesses in the agricultural sector, especially in Southern Africa. He is an expert in finance, strategy, and information technology and has vast experience and international exposure in Banking, Mining, Health, and Agribusiness.
He was educated at the Milpark Business School in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) after his HND in Accountancy. He also holds Executive Certificates in Project Management (Wits Business School), Budgeting and Integration Strategy (Wits) and Management (INSEAD).
Kennedy has also undergone an Executive Leadership Program from the University of California, Berkeley, the United States of America, Irrigation Methodologies for Improved Yield Production Program from the Galilee International Management Institute, Israel, and an Executive Certificate in Leadership in a Technology-Driven World from the Imperial College Business School, United Kingdom.
Kennedy is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration (ICAD) and a professional member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
