Celebrating the Brilliance and Resilience of NIRSAL’s Women
Earlier this year, NIRSAL proudly joined the global community in marking International Women’s Day, celebrating the brilliance, resilience, and strength of women within our organization and beyond.
The event began with an inspiring address from Dr. Maryam Yusuf, Head of the Business Development Group, who charged NIRSAL’s women to be bold, innovative, and ready to embrace new opportunities for growth while dismantling negative stereotypes that persist in society. Her words set a vibrant tone for the day, energizing the room with confidence and possibility.
Adding to the momentum, the elegant Mrs. Zainab Mohammed, Head of Technical Assistance & Partnerships, delivered a sublime speech that further inspired all present, encouraging women to see themselves as catalysts for change and progress and so step up and be counted.
One of the highlights of the event was when several women stepped up to the podium to read heartfelt letters to their younger selves. These personal reflections resonated deeply, offering wisdom, encouragement, and hope for younger women navigating their journeys today.
The celebration concluded with Mr. Nanpon Miri-Dashe paying a glowing tribute to women in their roles as sisters, wives, mothers, colleagues, and friends. His words were a reminder of the immeasurable value women bring to families, organizations, and society at large.
