WHAT IS THE NFBS?

The NFBS is a collection of lessons on best practices in agriculture and agribusiness for over 15 agricultural commodities. The NFBS makes use of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology, making it conveniently accessible from all types of mobile phones.

The NFBS, developed by NIRSAL Plc in partnership with Successory Nigeria Ltd and FBIS Technologies, is in response to the need of Nigerian smallholder farmers and inexperienced farmers for the knowledge and guidance on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and business operations required to enhance their productivity and improve their livelihoods.

WHO CAN SUBSCRIBE TO THE NFBS?

The NFBS can be subscribed to by any individual with a registered MTN Line. The NFBS was conceived primarily for Nigeria’s smallholder farmers. However, its lessons can be utilised by a wide range of people. They include experienced farmers, farmer groups, farmer leaders, academics & students, youths interested in agribusiness and the general public.
